two 10 year olds...

All I can think about tonight are two little 10 year old girls... One has beautiful big brown eyes and black hair. She'll most likely tuck her self into a bed tonight, that is most likely filled with flees and other crawling insects, sticky from the dormant, thick humidity. without dinner. without a goodnight prayer or a goodnight kiss.

The other, has big beautiful blue eyes and blond hair. Tucked into her bed with her Pottery Barn down comforter, paddle fan from above pressing cool air onto her face - protected by the safety of ADT. kissed and prayed with by her mom and her dad....this one is tucked lovingly into her bed across the hall from me. She is mine.

How can I love these two girls?! Isn't it impossible to love someone I've only met for just a short time?

Before I had even my first, I always wanted: girl, boy, boy, girl.

I'm only missing my last girl.

But is that it?

I'm finding myself yearning for this little girl. Yearning to protect her. Yearning to love her. Yearning to bring her to my family. Who else is going to do this when her mom, who has AIDS, dies? I need my second daughter. My daughter needs a sister.

I got to shoot this adorable family last week. We had the beautiful backdrop of the Olympic Sculpture Park overlooking the water. I took my little assistant Haley with me ;) and Kelley was kind enough to stop at the different pieces of art to explain them to her! It was our first visit - but wont be our last!

I got the amazing privilege to be a part of the birth of my friend Anna's baby, Evan! I was so touched when she asked me to be there and to photograph an intimate time in her and Brandon's life. She was so strong and brave - she made going natural look SO easy!

...Actually I'm not, my photography blog just is. I took down my website to do a little 'construction' until after the first of the year, and it seems I need to have at least something updated for my clients :) (sorry!)

The Holidays are approaching us (fast - yikes!) and so is this wonderful rain! I don't have my indoor studio up and running yet, so we are at the mercy of this wet stuff. But if your still game, then we'll go for it! :)

*There are other sizes available which are all comparable in price to the sizes I listed*

Your images will be available to order, up to two weeks after the session, in a private online gallery. The gallery will remain online for up to one month (this time can be extended if necessary). A 3-day guaranteed turn around is available for an additional $25. (Your proofs will be in your gallery 3 days after your session)

I am so happy to have started this venture. I absolutely love photography, and being able to capture memorable moments in peoples lives. My goal as a photographer is to offer affordable, professional photography. It is sad to say that many people do not have a family photo. And most the time, the only picture they have of their kids are the one's they get at school. I'm excited to be able to offer and include my love of natural beauty into my business. We live in such a beautiful and diverse state, that offers so much.

Being a mom of three myself, I understand the need to feed a crying baby, or let the little ones run around. My goal is to help you feel relaxed and comfortable during your session; never rushed or hurried.
